| dc.description.abstract | The beginning of the 21st century is marked by the accelerated development of industrial activities and the continuous growth in the consumption of goods and services. The increasing consumption of food and nonfood products generates ever-larger volumes of waste, which exert significant pressure on the environment and contribute to the depletion of natural resources. Under these circumstances, the transition to a sustainable economy, based on the efficient use of resources and the reduction of negative environmental impacts, has become a strategic necessity. The purpose of this paper is to identify and substantiate directions and strategies for the development of reverse distribution through the optimization of waste collection, processing, recycling, and recovery processes. The research aims to highlight the ways in which used, defective, or technologically obsolete products, reusable packaging, and waste generated during production processes can be reintegrated into the economic cycle, thereby contributing to pollution reduction and the conservation of natural resources. The research findings demonstrate that the development of reverse distribution has a multidimensional strategic impact, contributing to the modernization of industrial and commercial processes, the enhancement of economic competitiveness, and the strengthening of ecological and social resilience. Reverse distribution represents one of the essential components of green marketing and the circular economy, offering real opportunities for efficient resource utilization and waste reduction. Based on the analyses conducted, conclusions and recommendations were formulated regarding the development of efficient reverse distribution chains integrating manufacturers, agricultural enterprises, commercial networks, processors, service providers, and public authorities. The implementation of such mechanisms can significantly contribute to the promotion of sustainable development and to the improvement of the economic and environmental performance of society. | en_US |
