Lavița și derivatele sale. Evoluție constructivă, funcțională și artistică

Abstract

Lavița este una dintre cele mai vechi piese de mobilier. Ea se întâlnește în menționările arheologice și în descrierile călătorilor. Apare un interes evident cum au apărut și evoluat aceste piese în timp, care au fost derivatele acestora (scaune lungi, cu și fără spetează, paturi ș.a.), care sunt particularitățile artistice ale acestui tip de mobilier. Articolul de față își propune ca scop să răspundă la toate aceste întrebări, luând în considerație specificul zonal. Cu ajutorul celor interesați de trecutul etnografic și istoric al ținutului nostru, avem posibilitatea de a admira și cerceta, în cadrul mai multor muzee din țară, mai multe piese de mobilier recondiționate sau conservate, printre care sunt lavițele și derivatele acestora. Cercetările în teren efectuate în toate regiunile R. Moldova (în mai mult de 70 de muzee și în gospodăriile sătești, câte 2-3 localități din fiecare raion), ne-au permis depistarea unor lavițe care rar se mai întâlnesc în casele oamenilor, și care practic au dispărut. Analiza datelor istorice, raportate la informația din literatura de specialitate, cât și la locul amplasării lavițelor, în cămară sau casa mare, au determinat și au permis o clasificare, după formă, funcție, decor. Unele prezintă particularități artistice deosebite, care merită evidențiate și prezentate publicului larg. Această clasificare ne permite să valorificăm și să promovăm patrimoniul nostru cultural.

The bench is one of the oldest furniture items. It is found in archaeological records and descriptions of travelers. There is an obvious interest in how these pieces appeared and evolved, what were their derivatives (long chairs with and without backs, beds, etc.), which are the artistic features of this type of furniture. This article aims to answer all these questions, taking into account the specificity of the area. With the help of those interested in the ethnographic and historical past of our land, we have the opportunity to admire and research, in several museums in the country, several refurbished or preserved pieces of furniture, including the bench and their derivatives. Field research conducted in all regions of the Republic of Moldova (in more than 70 museums, and rural households, 2-3 localities in each district), has allowed the detection of benches that are rarely found in people’s homes, but which have practically disappeared. The analysis of historical data, related to the information from the literature, as well as to the location of the benches, in the pantry or the big house, determined and allowed a classification, according to their form, function, decoration. Some bear special artistic features, which deserve to be highlighted and presented to the general public. This classification allows us to capitalize on and promote our cultural heritage.
