The role of investments in the development of the agri-food sector in the Republic of Moldova

Abstract

This thesis examines the role and effectiveness of investments in the development of the agri-food sector in the Republic of Moldova, focusing on the period 2019–2025 and using data from 2026 to evaluate the current policy framework. The purpose of the research is to assess how the evolution, structure, and sources of investment funding are reflected in modernization, productivity, value added, competitiveness, and resilience. The research employs a mixed-methods approach, predominantly quantitative, supplemented by a qualitative analysis of policies and official documents.
