This bachelor's thesis on the topic "Design works for the execution of reconstruction works on the L420 road (M1 - access road to the village of Lozova, Straseni district), km 0.00 - 4.00" is dedicated to the development of technical and economic solutions necessary for the modernization of the analyzed road sector, in accordance with the requirements of the technical regulations in force. The need to develop the project is determined by the inadequate technical condition of the existing road, which presents pronounced degradation of the road surface, the lack of an efficient rainwater drainage system and insufficient safety and comfort conditions for traffic participants. The analyzed sector represents an important link between the national road M1 and the regional road G98, having a significant role in ensuring population mobility and economic development of the localities of Lozova and Huzun. The work analyzed the natural-climatic and engineering-geological conditions of the region, the traffic characteristics and the existing technical condition of the road. Based on these data, reconstruction solutions were developed and the road structure corresponding to technical category IV was dimensioned. The work includes the analysis of the earthworks, the calculation of excavation and fill volumes, as well as the establishment of the technology for the execution of the works. Also, three variants of road structures were proposed and compared, and a technical and economic analysis was carried out to choose the optimal solution. Following the calculations and analyses carried out, the road structure variant consisting of: BA16 road surface; BAD22.4 connecting layer; C3/4 natural aggregate base layer; crushed stone foundation layer; ballast drainage layer was adopted. The adopted variant ensures an optimal ratio between the cost of execution, durability and operational behavior. The longitudinal and transverse profile of the road, solutions for the evacuation of surface water, engineering works and measures regarding the organization and safety of road traffic were developed within the project. At the same time, the aspects of environmental protection, occupational health and safety and the organization of the execution of the works were analyzed. The economic section of the work includes the calculation of the cost estimate, the development of the volumes of works and the establishment of the necessary materials, equipment and labor. Also, the GANTT-type execution schedule was developed, which allows for the efficient organization of the technological process and the completion of the works within the established deadlines. The implementation of the L420 road reconstruction project will contribute to improving traffic conditions, increasing road safety, reducing transport costs and the socio-economic development of the region. In conclusion, the technical and economic solutions developed within the framework of this work allow the construction of a modern, sustainable and safe road, corresponding to the current operating requirements and technical category IV.
