Abstract:
In industrial installations for supplying electricity to various consumers, low-voltage circuit breakers play an important role in the proper functioning of the equipment, ensuring their protection in case of short circuit or overload. In this article, the automation of an energy distribution system for four consumers is realized. By programming the PLC and utilizing the Modbus communication protocol, the energy parameters of the circuit breakers are taken over, and a scenario of disconnection from the grid of a consumer is simulated. The main advantage of the automation system, consisting of PLC and HMI, is the function of automatic control of the circuit breakers through programmed scenarios.
