Abstract:
In greenhouses, the integration of photovoltaic (PV) systems is emerging as a solution for sustainable agriculture, allowing the dual use of land for agricultural production and energy generation. Technologies with light dispersion system represent a way to optimize inhouse light distribution while generating electricity. This paper presents an overview of current solutions and technological directions in PV-integrated greenhouse systems with light dispersion capabilities. It is highlighted the importance of harmonizing energy efficiency with plant growth conditions in greenhouses, and in this regard, adaptive technologies and climate-specific solutions play an important role. Based on this overview, we aim to extract functional and design requirements tailored to agricultural applications, for future developments in the field of agrivoltaics greenhouse systems.
