dc.description.abstract The article analyzes the importance of state involvement in finding solutions to overcome the current economic crisis in accountability, regulation of labor relations and business and income redistribution. In the article, are considered the four European socio-economic models: the liberal Anglo-Saxon, Scandinavian model, continental corporatist model, the model Mediterranean and European countries employment in these categories. They also highlighted the economic performance of EU countries by analyzing ranking EU countries based on the Global Competitiveness Index 2010-2011 and the evolution of this index during 2009-2011. Article aims to highlight the need for action to achieve sustainable growth state, healthy, viable, able to overcome the economic crisis and ensure social welfare and economic competitiveness. en_US
