Racing for knowledge: how formula student transforms theory into a student breakthrough

Abstract

Formula Student is an international competition that prepares students for real-world engineering and management challenges. This article provides a detailed analysis of the objectives, concept and structure of the competition, as well as the main stages of its conduct. Special attention is given to the comprehensive assessment of participants, including not only technical aspects of race car design but also project management skills, financial planning and marketing strategy. Additionally, the article highlights Formula Student Team UTM at the Technical University of Moldova, which is actively developing, mastering the principles of engineering design and teamwork and plans to participate in future competitions. Finally, the article examines the role of such projects in the professional growth of students and analyzes the impact of Formula Student on the educational environment.
