Abstract:
This paper presents the development of a compact and low-cost device designed for the identification and measurement of various SMD components, including resistors, capacitors, inductors, diodes, and bipolar junction transistors. Based on the GM328-based measurement platform, the device is capable of performing automatic detection and parameter extraction for each component type, offering high accessibility for use in laboratory and industrial environments. One of the key features of the proposed system is the integration of a UART communication interface, which enables real-time data transmission to external systems, including RS232-based industrial controllers. This functionality allows for seamless integration into automated testing setups, where the device can be used as a preliminary control unit to verify component integrity before assembly. Experimental results confirm the device's accuracy and reliability, demonstrating its potential as a versatile tool in quality control workflows and educational applications.
