Abstract:
Quantum Computing is currently at the cutting edge of technology and is likely the next big step in advancing the computer science field not only in boosting performance and computational power but also in expanding the possible use for computers for experimental purposes in quantum physics. Although quantum computers use a different process f determining the 0s and 1s (the spin of a particle), they still use 1s and 0s which makes them more easily adaptable to systems widely used today. In this paper we will explore the principles of quantum mechanics such as superposition, quantum entanglement, the Stern-Gerlach experiment and how classical computers work through which we will demonstrate how to construct a quantum circuits for the same purposes as classical computers and the possible challenges for implementation.
