Abstract:
The paper is focused on the study of six-phase asynchronous motors with symmetrical stator winding with some possible supply faults. The description of the working regimes of the six-phase asynchronous machine with 6, 5, 4 and 3-phase power supply is based on the mathematical model of the magnetomotive force (MMF) in the air gap. To confirm the theoretical results, several experimental tests of the six-phase asynchronous motor with the symmetrical stator winding were carried out. Also, the degree of tolerance of the power supply interruption of some phases was determined. The obtained results can be used to adjust the control and protection system of the six-phase asynchronous motor for normal operation and when faults occur.
