dc.description.abstract The present study was carried out to evaluate the effect of oxidative stress on the composition and antioxidant activity of Spirulina platensis biomass. The oxidative stress was induced by Co(II) Schiff base coordination compounds. The results of the study indicate that the oxidative stress induces the diminution of protein, phycobilin, β-carotene and phenolic content of spirulina biomass and its antioxidant activity. en_US
