Abstract:
Digital transformation has become a key determinant of competitiveness and sustainable growth. In Republic of Moldova, however, a significant gap persists between digital awareness and implementation, particularly among SMEs. This study explores how business consulting acts as a strategic accelerator of organizational digitalization by transforming intent into capability. Drawing on data from EBRD, AMCOR and ODA, the paper analyzes both macro-level policies and micro-level realities to identify systemic and behavioral gaps. A new model – MACD-TM (Moldova Affordable Consulting-Driven Digital Transformation Model) – is proposed, emphasizing efficiency, innovation, and adaptability as drivers of sustainable change. The findings highlight consulting’s pivotal role in bridging strategic vision and operational practice, reinforcing the idea that digital transformation is as much cultural and organizational as it is technological.
